Congratulations Iain!

Yesterday super star student Iain completed his base training on the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 with his airline Flybe.

Iain took the Dash 8 from Southampton airport to Cardiff airport and completed a series of six touch and goes, completing his type rating on the aircraft.

Iain will now head north to his base at Edinburgh airport where he will start flying on the line in the next few days, if you see him, say hello!

Iain completed his training with us at BCFT through the Airline Pilot Academy on our Integrated flight training course.

Merry Christmas from the BCFT family

Whilst the BCFT and Airline Pilot Academy fleet wasn’t required by Santa last night, he did pop by Bournemouth Airport, initially performing 2 Holds and then a Procedural NDB approach onto runway 26.

Whilst Santa was in the hold, he managed to take this quick photo with his Infrared Camera, showing our Global HQ, Bournemouth International Airport.

After landing Santa and his reindeers taxied over to BCFT via taxiway Mike, refuelling at our Hangar and enjoying a quick break. He then set on this way delivering all this important presents to the worlds children.

A huge Merry Christmas to everyone from the BCFT family!

Santa's Helper

BCFT and Airline Pilot Academy‘s fleet is ready to assist Santa and his helpers in anyway needed this Christmas Eve.

We will also be on hand with our well appointed Hangar to refuel Santa and his Reindeer as they pass through Bournemouth this evening, with plenty of mince pies and milk on hand we know exactly what Santa wants!

Good Bye Farouq, Hello Kelly!

Yesterday not only marked the last day BCFT and Airline Pilot Academywould be open for 2016 but also the last day of the now famous Operations god, Farouq.

He will be leaving the desk, but not BCFT, staying with us and continuing on with his training. His friendly face will continue to be seen around BCFT for a little while longer, you’ll all be glad to know!

Replacing him with in the Operations team will be Kelly, many of you will have already met her and we know she’s going to fit in very well with the BCFT and APA family.

A little more snow than the middle east

Heres another one of our former student and instructors photo’s from his adventures flying the Boeing 777 for a prominent Middle Eastern airline.

We received news earlier in the month another one of our former students who is currently flying for Ryanair on the Boeing 737 will be soon heading out to the Middle East and joining the same airline flying the Boeing 777. Congratulations from all at BCFT.

The photo below shows Greenland, with two of our former students soon to be flying with the Long Haul carrier we expect a few more amazing photos like this!

Come and join us in the new year, both BCFT and APA will have ATPL ground school starting around the 30th January. Head to either www.bcft.aero or www.apacademy.aero for more information.

Our Canine friend

We headed into our Hangar this evening, greeted by this superb little trainer.

Can you name the type pictured? Its a British built airframe with a very canine theme!

Our hangar is often home to various different aircraft, everything from Robins to PC12’s, its been in there at some point!

Our Duchess fleet has been busy!

Our Duchess fleet has been busy this week performing Multi Engine and some Instrument training.

Heres November November arriving back at BCFT after performing a series of circuits at Bournemouth Airport this morning.

We use our Duchess fleet for, Multi Engine, Commercial Pilot Licence and Instrument Rating training.

Come and enjoy the sun

There’s always sun somewhere in the U.K, sometimes you just have to climb high enough!

BCFT and APA are inching closer and closer to Christmas and the New Year, why don’t you make the change and join us in 2017, your career is our priority.

Head to www.bcft.aero for more information on our modular courses including our structured Jetline flight training course.

Flight Line!

All flight lines are essentially the same, a large area with plenty of planes!

The only difference between our flight line and Amaury’s is his has a few more 737’s!

Amaury competed his training with us and then gained himself employment flying for Ryanair on the Boeing 737-800 as a first officer. From the photos we see he’s enjoying it!

Want to join Amaury at 30000ft? Head to www.bcft.aero for more information on our modular courses including our structured Jetline course.

Merry Christmas!

The BCFT and APA staff and student christmas party went down as a great success! Hosted at the Silver How, BCFT’s student accommodation, everyone was invited for a Christmas themed evening with Fish and Chips, a Casino and festive themed drinks from Mike’s bar!

Whilst the money at the casino was only pretend, the prizes were real! Up for grabs was a bottle of Champagne and various chocolate prizes.

Great fun was had by all! With only a week to go until Christmas our students will be getting prepared to make the migration home, to enjoy a relaxing but I’m sure aviation themed holiday!
