Integrated Commercial Pilot Training Course

Our APA Integrated Airline Pilot Training course takes students with little or no previous flying experience to a Commercial Pilot’s License (CPL) with a Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR) referred to as the ‘frozen’ ATPL. The course also includes an APS MCC (Airline Pilot Standard Multi Crew Cooperation) course which is required to proceed to Type Rating.

Bournemouth Commercial Flight Training (BCFT) centre is renowned in the aviation industry for it’s excellent and personal approach to airline pilot training. From your first contact with BCFT, the aim is to provide you with a personalised pathway to becoming a first officer. This begins when you first visit. There are no group interviews, rather the team meets each and every one of our students on a one-to-one basis. Pilot training is a very personal matter and BCFT endeavours to match their ambition of training the best pilots to yours of becoming the best pilot you can be.

The carefully considered course structure guarantees that our instructor to student ratio is optimised through each phase of training. This ensures one of the highest success rates in the UK, all within 17 months.

ATPL Intermediate Training Phase – 4 Months, Melbourne, USA

ATPL intermediate training is completed at our partner training centre at The Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) in Melbourne, Florida. FIT offers our students cost efficiencies on the overall price of the Integrated Pilot Training due to cheaper fuel, no VAT and no landing fees.

In addition, the consistent weather patterns of Florida allow students to optimise the time in the air to develop the motor skills required for single engine visual flight rules (VFR). With a fleet of over 34 aircraft students will get maximum time in the air – that’s more flying and more frequent flights.

Once the single engine phase has been completed, our students progress on to the Piper Seminole to complete a 25hr multi-engine course which concludes with the CPL flight test with a CAA examiner.

This whole phase takes approximately 4.5 months to complete. The team at BCFT will arrange everything for you, with return flights, accommodation and visas all provided and organised, leaving you time to focus on the flying.

Life Beyond the Licence in Florida

FIT Aviation is considered to be one of the most desirable areas to live year-round. Due to its close proximity to Kennedy Space Center the area is more commonly referred to as The Space Coast. With over 72 miles of relaxing Atlantic coast beaches, The Space Coast has a number of attractions that contribute to the appeal of choosing FIT Aviation for your flight training location.

Please note: The entire course is available in the UK if required. Please contact us for further details on this.
