Safe travels to Luke, Lucas and Dan tomorrow! All three are heading out to Florida to complete the VFR part of their flight training.
They’ll be joining 6 other APA students who are already out there and will spend the next 4.5 months building up the motor skills required to pass their CPL tests to then come back to Bournemouth to begin the IR.
The first 3.5 months are all single-engine flying – getting to the PPL stage and then hour building. They will learn how to fly on instruments and complete their solo hours, as well as the 300nm cross country that is required before starting CPL training. The final month will see them move onto the Piper Seminole and learn how to fly with two engines to a commercial standard!
They certainly have a busy few months ahead of them but we’re sure they’re going to love it.
