Yesterday afternoon ATPL ground school student Spencer made the most of the sunny weather and flew his YAK – 18T into Bournemouth parking at our facility.
He flew in from Sandown on the Isle of Wight after grabbing some lunch after flying from his home base at White Waltham.
The YAK – 18T is a Russian produced training aircraft, larger than our Duchess fleet, the YAK is powered by a radial engine. Compressed Air is used to move flaps and gear, making it somewhat different to our our single engine training fleet.
After a short chat and tour of the aircraft, Spencer departed by towards London.
